Where are Create Hosting’s servers located?
Our primary servers are located in Auckland, NZ. Our Cloud based services are AWS powered, based in Sydney, Australia. We also provide dedicated server options for International customers in London, Sydney, Dallas and Frankfurt.
Why should I choose Create Hosting over a cheaper option?
Create Hosting provides a specialised WordPress hosting solution, where we monitor and protect your WordPress site with many layers of security to reduce the risk of your site being hacked. We provide excellent WordPress and hosting support, and we go the extra mile to look after you as a customer.
My site is hosted elsewhere, how do I move it to Create Hosting?
We can provide free WordPress migration assistance to move your site and related services to Create Hosting. This ensures that we set your site up with all best practise security principles in place when it is moved over.
How long will it take to move my website from another hosting provider?
The migration process can take some time, depending on the ability to access your existing site and DNS records. Please allow for up to a few days to complete the migration process (downtime will only be a few minutes to perform the actual switch). We recommend leaving your hosting account active with your existing hosting company for 1-2 weeks after the migration.
How do I install WordPress on my hosting account?
You can either install WordPress using WordPress Toolkit in Plesk (1-click Option), or we can install WordPress for you and send through the access details (0-click Option). We prefer to install it for you, as we can then ensure that it is installed correctly.
My website has been hacked, can you fix it for me?
Yes, we can provide this as a service to Create Hosting WordPress customers. This is usually a paid service, or we can advise you on how to clean / rebuild your site in an isolated environment.
Please note that it is a requirement to ensure that your WordPress site is kept up-to-date with all security patches and upgrades. Our system will notify you daily if any updates to plugins or themes are required, and it will automatically update WordPress to the latest version when those updates are released. You can also easily manage plugin and theme updates outside of WordPress using WordPress Toolkit (supplied with the Plesk control panel).
Can I get a dedicated IP address?
Yes, this option is available on our WP Plus plan, and is included as standard with the purchase of an SSL certificate.
Can you work with my developer to get my new website live?
Absolutely.
Can you teach me how to use WordPress?
